Community Involvement

Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our parent/carer meetings, attending our community events or by volunteering at our school. Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.

Parent and Carer Meetings

Each term, parents and carers are invited to attend meetings with the school executive to stay informed about our school. This is an opportunity to assist with school planning, fundraising, events and volunteering. Our parents and carers work in partnership with our school to promote the interests of our school community.

Attending our meetings is a great way to meet other families, get involved and contribute to our school's future. We would love to have you on board!

Parent & Carer meetings

Our next Parent and Carer meeting is on Monday 10 August at 2.15pm. This is an opportunity for the principal and executive team to provide an update about Lakemba Public School and for parents and carers to ask questions. Please join us.

Community Events

We regularly invite parents and carers to attend community events and educational workshops at the school. These include Harmony Day, Public Education Week, NAIDOC Week, Anzac Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day and many more culturally diverse and inclusive events. We have also partnered with the Fathering Project to promote opportunities for our fathers to participate in school events. These are wonderful opportunities to visit the school, see what your child is learning and as well as make connections with other families.
