Wonderful Week 10
Every term, we look forward to Wonderful Week 10—a special time dedicated to nurturing the wellbeing of our students, staff and families. The week is filled with fun, engaging activities that bring our school community together, and it all culminates in a joyful family picnic where everyone can relax, connect and celebrate. It is a highlight of our school calendar and a fantastic way to strengthen our sense of belonging and support.
Swimming Carnival
In Term 1, we proudly host our exciting Swimming Carnival, giving students the chance to compete in a range of races and take part in fun novelty events. This special day not only celebrates their swimming abilities but also promotes water safety awareness and helps build essential skills to keep them confident and safe in the water. It is a fun and important event that encourages participation, teamwork and healthy competition.
Walk Safely to School Day
In Term 2, we proudly join in celebrating Walk Safely to School Day. This special day encourages students and their families to come together, meet our friendly staff at various meeting points around Lakemba, and enjoy a safe, fun walk to school as a community. Throughout the day, students participate in engaging activities that teach important road safety skills, helping them stay safe on and around our roads every day. It is a wonderful way to promote healthy habits, community connection and safety awareness.
Book Week Character Parade
In Term 3, we celebrate Book Week with our much-loved Character Parade! Students and staff dress up as their favourite book characters, bringing stories to life and creating a joyful atmosphere throughout the school. We share and discuss our favourite books, sparking conversations about why we love to read and encouraging every child’s imagination and passion for stories. It is a memorable event that inspires a lifelong love of reading and learning in our school community.
Transition Programs
In Term 4, we run a comprehensive transition program to warmly welcome our new Kindergarten students and make their start to school a positive and confident experience. We also partner closely with local high schools to support our Year 6 students, helping them prepare for the exciting step into high school. Our programs are designed to build strong foundations, ease anxieties and ensure every child feels supported as they move forward on their learning journey.

Harmony Week

Harmony Week is a special time at our school, when we come together to proudly celebrate the rich diversity of our community. We enjoy sharing traditions, cultures and stories, making sure every student and family feels valued and included. It is a joyful week that highlights the strength and beauty of our school’s multicultural spirit.

Public Speaking

We are proud to host the prestigious Beverly Hills Network Public Speaking Competition, providing our students with an exciting opportunity to develop their confidence, communication skills and creativity in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Combined Public Schools Music Festival

This festival is filled with joy and excitement as our students come together to dance and sing. It is a wonderful celebration where everyone has fun, builds friendships and shares their talents, making lasting memories in our school community.
